Job Summary
Biomedical Technician 1 performs on-site evaluation, diagnosis, repair, and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment, driving customer satisfaction through service excellence. Role requires working onsite at customer locations in the Los Angeles, CA area, including after-hours/on-call coverage as needed. Responsibilities include evaluating equipment issues, implementing repairs, executing PM and safety/environmental inspections, assisting more experienced technicians, maintaining clear communications with customers and teammates, documenting repair actions, and ensuring proper care of spares and tools. Qualifications emphasize an engineering or related degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s), 2+ years of servicing electrical/electronics/IT/mechanical equipment or alternative credentials, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and compliance with background checks/immunizations. Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
