Job Summary
Biomedical Operations Manager leads the biomedical team across Northwest Wisconsin facilities, overseeing hiring, development, and performance of Biomedical Specialists, managing budgets and equipment, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities include supervising staff, deploying educational programs, conducting facility visits, ensuring skills-competency recertification, managing biomedical outsourcing and on-call coverage, coordinating with operations for staffing plans, and supporting disaster-response deployments. Requires extensive dialysis experience, supervisory background, vendor and budget management, strong communication, and travel up to ~75% to multiple clinics; travel and on-site inspections are integral, with adherence to DaVita policies and state/federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of Dialysis experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience supervising Biomedical Service teams
- Leadership experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing repair and maintenance service to dialysis facilities
- Manufacturer’s certification for equipment used in the Area strongly preferred (dialysis machines and facility water systems)
- Valid driver’s license in state(s)/region of employment
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong business and organizational skills
- Project planning and process improvement skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed
- Computer skills (Web, Word, Excel)
