Job Summary
Biomedical/Imaging Engineer (Hybrid) responsible for planned maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of broad-range clinical biomedical equipment and diagnostic imaging systems (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy). Requires interpreting signal flow via schematics/diagrams, managing OEM updates, and documenting work in RenovoLive CMMS. Collaboration with senior technicians for major repairs; travel may be required. Strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance (TJC, DNV, CAP, DOH), ISO 13485, and patient-care device knowledge. Candidates should have an associate degree related to biomedical/electronics technology, 3+ years in hospital/clinical maintenance, and experience with imaging modalities and service software. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and customer-service orientation are essential; willingness to perform after-hours or weekend service calls as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or equivalent preferred; equivalent military or field experience considered
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience servicing and maintaining medical equipment in a hospital or clinical setting (experience with both general biomedical and imaging equipment strongly preferred)
- Basic Level I and Level II Imaging Equipment Service Training through an accredited organization or equivalent military program preferred
- Proficient with electromechanical devices, computerized biomedical systems, diagnostic imaging equipment, error code interpretation, and service software
