Job Summary
Assemble, repair, and maintain patient care equipment according to specifications while managing the facility's scheduled maintenance program. Document all activities in RenovoLive, maintain departmental performance standards, and support cost containment under supervisor direction. Provide mentoring and training to BMETs and apprentices, ensure KPI targets are met, and comply with Renovo and hospital policies. Act as a leader on the team with potential supervisory responsibilities, guiding apprentices and ensuring regulatory compliance with agencies like TJC and DNV. Adhere to OSHA guidelines and injury prevention programs while maintaining a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as a biomedical technician
- Knowledge of electromechanical devices and principles
- Thorough understanding of general patient care equipment
- Demonstrated usage of supported devices
- Understanding of life-support and diagnostic support devices
- Proficiency with multiple devices / modalities
- Expertise on specific topics (e.g., Patient Monitoring)
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Technical Certificate or DOD training
- College Degree, Certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this job description
