Job Summary
Maintain Medical Equipment Sets by performing technical inspections, repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and overhauls on new, used, or reconditioned gear. Maintain records, write reports, and coordinate outside repairs while utilizing authorized Army Automation Systems such as DMLSS, SAMS-E, TEWLS, and GCSS. Possess advanced knowledge of policies, procedures, and equipment types to work under supervision on safety testing and schematics. Requires three years of BMET experience, DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course certification, or an AAS in Medical Equipment Technology. Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) or more years of experience as a BMET
- Be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course
- Be certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET)
- Have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology
- Possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation
- Acquire a CAC
- Possess the ability to pass a NCIC investigation
- Scored credit check per federal and contractual requirements
- Be a US citizen
- Be available for travel estimated to 15%
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
