Biomedical Equipment Technician I

Job Summary
Evaluate basic biomedical equipment issues, implement repairs, and perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections under supervision. Partner with teammates to communicate with customers, ensure resolution, and maintain strong relationships. Document all repair actions, submit reports, and manage spares, tools, and calibration while adhering to GE policies and regulatory requirements. Assist experienced technicians on complex repairs as assigned and maintain technical knowledge of current standards. Work onsite in the Northwest, AR area with a rotating on-call schedule including weekends, requiring availability after hours. Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S. are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education, participant in the formal GE HealthCare Biomedical or Field Engineer Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 2 years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach above and below shoulder level
- Ability to flex or extend neck
- Good hand and finger dexterity
- Specific vision abilities that may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Willingness to work onsite at customer locations in the Northwest, AR area
