Biomedical Equipment Technician I, Full Time, First Shift, Allentown Campus

Job Summary

Perform scheduled maintenance, electrical safety testing, and functional diagnostics on clinical equipment including dialysis systems per manufacturer protocols. Repair defective medical devices and oversee third-party vendors as needed. Diagnose system malfunctions, perform installations, and evaluate equipment failures to identify trends. Maintain accurate work records and complete entry or paperwork timely. Provide technical consultation to department personnel and participate in staff educational programs and pre-purchase evaluations. Requires valid driver's license for travel across Network locations. Entry-level role with six months of biomedical equipment experience; full-time, first shift at Allentown Campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's, bachelor's degree or military equivalent program in Biomedical Engineering / Electronics, Electronic Technology or or related field
  • A minimum of six months of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge of electronic theory, technology and test equipment
  • Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology as it relates to clinical equipment
  • Basic knowledge of computers, servers, networks and Windows operating systems
  • Must have a valid driver's license and willing to drive to various Network locations
