Job Summary
Conduct technical inspections, repairs, calibrations, and overhauls on patient care equipment while ensuring compliance with military and federal safety standards. Perform preventive maintenance checks and services, maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance actions, and collaborate with manufacturers for technical support. Assist in risk assessment, inventory management, and the evaluation of new biomedical equipment to support operational readiness. Requires 25-50% travel, Monday-Friday shifts from 0700-1530, and a valid security clearance. Must possess DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course certification or CBET certification with at least two years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course
- certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET)
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a BMET
- knowledge maintenance actions: technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Good communication and time management skills
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance
- Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa
