Job Summary
Conduct technical inspections, perform repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance checks, and overhauls on patient care equipment. Ensure compliance with military and federal regulations while utilizing authorized Army Automation Systems like DMLSS and GCSS. Collaborate with manufacturers for technical support and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance actions. Assist in risk assessment, inventory management, and logistics planning to support operational readiness. Travel up to 50% as required for equipment deployment and vendor coordination.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course
- certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET)
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a BMET
- knowledge maintenance actions: technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Good communication and time management skills
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance
- Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa
