Biomedical Engineering Intern

Job Summary
Shadow experienced clinical, biomedical, lab, and radiology engineers under management supervision to understand daily hospital workflows and respond to service calls. Perform preventative maintenance procedures, inventory validation, and equipment repairs while documenting work orders and managing vendor relationships. Learn to calibrate equipment, troubleshoot various systems, and apply preventive maintenance protocols and electrical safety standards. Work alongside technicians in a real-time service environment to balance workload and complete assigned tasks. Must be local to Pittsburgh with immediate availability, a valid driver's license, and enrollment in a relevant biomedical program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be local to Pittsburgh area
- Available for immediate start
- Currently enrolled in an associate's, technical degree program, or the TRIMEDX Trained Certification or an equivalent biomedical related certification program
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which will include a limited background check and screen for illegal substance use
