Job Summary
Biomedical Engineer to design patient-specific medical devices and surgical solutions by transforming medical imaging data into 3D anatomical models, using CAD and segmentation software, collaborating with surgeons and clinical teams, leading design discussions, preparing design files for 3D printing and production workflows, and supporting internal improvements and audits. Role based in Houston, Texas with remote work option; ISO 13485-compliant quality processes and cross-functional collaboration with surgeons, engineering, and manufacturing teams are central to delivering patient-specific solutions for operating-room use.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience using enterprise-level medical segmentation software (ideally for design/manufacture of patient-specific surgical guides)
- Industry experience designing patient-specific surgical guides using CAD
- Knowledge of human anatomy and orthopaedic surgical procedures
