Job Summary

Manage engineering projects and lead teams of engineers, scientists, and technicians. Conduct unbiased field investigations and testing of incidents, then investigate and analyze biomechanical and injury-related aspects. Provide technical findings, analysis, and conclusions in laymen's terms, either verbally or in writing. Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities while traveling for client meetings, field work, and marketing. Maintain communication with clients and project teams on status and scope. Maintain technical knowledge through continuing education, seminars, and professional publications. Continuously meet assigned performance metrics and goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-academic industry engineering experience
  • Experience in technical reports
  • Ability to work remotely or while travelling to different job sites
  • Must be able to travel to different regions
  • Ability to maneuver in and around an accident site (stoop, squat, crawl, etc.)
  • Willingness and ability to obtain additional licensure and certification
  • Willingness and desire to work above and beyond the minimum performance and goal requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of post-academic industry engineering experience
  • ACTAR certification
  • Professional engineering licensure, or eligibility to obtain
  • Foundation of testifying experience
  • Previous experience managing small projects and developing business opportunities with clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attitude to deliver results
  • Experience managing teams
  • Mathematically and technologically inclined with the ability to adapt to new environments or scenarios quickly
  • Skilled with software and technical systems
  • Willingness to serve as an expert witness, including testifying in court
  • Strong interest in accident reconstruction
  • Responsibility for developing business opportunities with current and prospective clients
  • Mentoring and training junior engineers
  • Occasionally participating in informative presentations for clients and peers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative consulting environment
  • High degree of self-motivation
