Job Summary
Deliver high-quality Biology lessons across Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE, and A Level curricula while planning, preparing, and assessing engaging sessions that meet diverse student needs. Foster an inclusive classroom environment, monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate assessment records. Contribute to curriculum planning, the Science Department's development, and school events including parent meetings and extracurricular activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student wellbeing and academic success. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a closely related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Biology at secondary level, including Key Stage 3 and (I)GCSE
- Ability to teach A Level Biology or an equivalent post-16 curriculum
- Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
