Job Summary
Conduct sales calls and provide clinical case coverage in the operating room to convert physicians and accounts. Train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products through education programs and collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, hospital staff, and administrators. Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet or exceed your quota. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of direct sales experience, with at least 4 years in a medical or hospital environment preferred. Travel includes 1-3 overnights weekly within the designated territory, with infrequent national travel for events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of direct sales experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience within a medical or hospital environment
- Experience selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points within a hospital, including surgeons, nursing, administration, facilities, biomedical, and information systems
- Demonstrated success in achieving quota year over year
- Proven success in complex sales environments, with the ability to sell to teams of buyers and multiple decision-makers in a hospital or medical setting
- Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
- Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives
- Experience with selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points in the hospital, including surgeons, nursing, administration, facilities, bio-med and information systems preferred
- Resourceful consultants who will work relentlessly to become proficient in Sports Medicine surgical procedures
- Collaborative and dedicated teammates committed to partnering with all Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities
