Job Summary
Technical Laboratory Assistant responsible for daily monitoring of laboratory facilities, ensuring safety regulations, and supporting teaching sessions. Duties include planning, performing and documenting wet-lab experiments (biochemistry, molecular biology), analyzing data, setting up and calibrating equipment, maintaining lab budgets and resources, organizing consumables, and instructing students in laboratory techniques. Will collaborate with instructors, help prepare lab practicals for medical students, and contribute to the operation and safety of molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and histology labs in the EUC Frankfurt Branch. The role requires independent work, strong organization, and effective communication within an international team.
Required Qualifications
- Professional training as Biological/Chemical or Medical Lab Assistant
- BTA/CTA/MTA or equivalent education (e.g., BSc or MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology)
- Documented experience of working in a wet-lab (biochemistry and/or molecular biology)
- Experience in an academic setting; teaching or lab demonstrator experience (desirable)
- Able to work independently
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
