Job Summary
Greet donors, perform venipuncture, and operate plasmapheresis machines to collect plasma for life-changing medicines. Monitor donors during the process, manage reactions, and perform finger sticks to record vital signs and lab measures. Stock supplies, dispose of materials, and enter donor data into the Donor Information System. Coordinate donors to the floor, compensate them using the Debit Card, and support center management with continuous improvement initiatives using 5S and Kaizen. This part-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts lasting 4 to 6 hours. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and undergo paid, interactive training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
