Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services (a Takeda subsidiary) supports plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results (SPE), and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Works under the Center Manager/Assistant Manager and Center Physician for operational and medical guidance; adheres to SOPs and participates in vaccination programs and environmental, health and safety (EHS) initiatives. Requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, current active license, CPR/AED certification, state IV-therapy requirements, FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist, and at least two years of clinical or hospital experience. Education must include a high school diploma or equivalent with nursing program requirements. Location: USA - WI - Greenfield; no overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must have current active license
- EMT-Paramedic license
- CPR certification and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
