Job Summary
Determine donor eligibility through informed consent, medical history interviews, and physical examinations; manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions per SOPs. Review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. Support environmental, health, and safety programs and coordinate pandemic investigations when authorized. Manage employee incidents and determine if further occupational health evaluation is required. Complete FDA-approved training and maintain current EMT-Paramedic certification. Work full-time in a Janesville, WI plasma donation center with an hourly wage of $24.32 to $33.44.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
