Develop and maintain economic forecast models for North American low carbon and renewable transportation fuels, specifically targeting the Renewable Fuel Standard, California Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and Canada Clean Fuel Regulations. Conduct thorough research on biofuel industry segments and analyze the economic implications of state, provincial, and federal regulatory developments. Author insightful market reports on biofuels and low carbon fuels to support investors, developers, and government agencies in constructing energy assets. Collaborate with technical advisory teams to gather high-quality expertise for client needs while incorporating quantitative analysis into thorough market reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Environmental Policy, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines
- 2+ years of relevant energy industry experience
- Master's degree plus 1 year of industry and or internship experience
- Experience programming in, Python, Stata, Matlab, VBA or willingness to learn
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Economics, Environmental Policy, Environmental Sciences, Biofuel and/or low carbon transportation fuel market experience
- Understanding of agriculture and other feedstock markets
- Experience programming in R, Python, Matlab, or VBA
- Previous consulting experience
- Strong modeling skills
