Job Summary
Biochemist I will support the early molecule discovery team by performing biophysical assay techniques to drive ligand identification and classification. This role is primarily hands-on laboratory work in support of early-stage drug discovery programs. Responsibilities include sample preparation and data acquisition for Bio-NMR, maintaining and operating two NMR spectrometers (600 and 700 MHz Bruker systems), instrument calibration and logging, operating nephelometer and ITC instruments, managing laboratory inventory and chemical hygiene compliance, coordinating with vendors for PM/repairs/upgrades, handling compound/protein receiving and delivery, maintaining records in electronic or handwritten notebooks, and contributing to safety and quality systems. Requires proficiency with Windows, Word & Excel; strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills; and a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience; NMR experience is a plus.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely related field
