Job Summary
Operate biological packaging lines and related equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, vision systems, and material handling devices. Maintain accurate documentation for timecards, batch records, and logbooks while adhering to SOPs and cGMPs. Clean production equipment, set up and disassemble machinery, and apply the metric system for process calculations. Perform PC tasks and follow proper safety techniques, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and PDE use. Work the 3rd shift from 10:00pm to 6:30am Sunday through Thursday, with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Language skills - able to read and interpret procedures
- Math Skills - ability to apply general math skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical skills and has used various hand tools
- Meets the physical requirements of the job
- Ability to apply good lifting techniques
- Ability to move up and down stairs/ladders
- Possess or obtain authorization to work in the US
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime
- Ability to work 3rd Shift, Sunday – Thursday 10:00pm – 6:30am
- Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Follow proper dress and secondary gowning policy
- Follow proper safety techniques in the manufacturing area, including lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs)
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per SOPs
- Apply the metric system to assigned process calculations
- Apply appropriate communication techniques for teamwork
- Communicate effectively with peers and supervisor
- Perform PC tasks
- Apply good lifting techniques
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Will be exposed to routine lifting of 20-40 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to product dust/particulate
- Exposure to loud noise
- Exposure to temperature variations
- Exposure to heights of up to 25 ft., e.g., tops of silos and tops of blenders
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school certificate, or 1-2 yrs. college
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers
- Knowledge of P.C. using Windows based applications
