Job Summary
Bio Med Equipment Tech II is responsible for preventive and corrective electronic maintenance on a broad range of medical, dental, laboratory and related equipment, including infusion pumps, ECG and blood gas analyzers. The role is journey-level with minimal supervision, requiring extensive knowledge of electronic theory, ability to test equipment, interpret procedures, maintain reports, and stay current with field developments. Requires post-high school vocational training in biomedical equipment technology or equivalent electrical training, plus a minimum of two years in repairing major electronic equipment. Must possess or obtain a California driver’s license and meet PHH insurability requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Bio-Medical Equipment Technician training program or similar electrical training required
- Minimum Two years of experience of repair of major electronic equipment, powered infusion pumps and similar equipment
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver’s license
