Job Summary
Operate a heavy-duty truck to execute container delivery routes for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and report deficiencies to Route Supervisors or Maintenance. Properly position and completely dump containers at customer locations while maintaining a clean work area and adhering to all OSHA and DOT safety regulations. Clean waste from the truck body and packer blade after each disposal trip, ensuring compliance with Material Recovery Facility protocols. Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch and notify supervisors immediately of any incidents or accidents.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle
- Able to provide exceptional customer service always
- Time management skills
- Able to follow through multiple challenges as they arise
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial A or B
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- 3+ years of experience operating a commercial vehicle
- Work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry
- Clean Driving Record
