Job Summary
Lead BIM and VDC initiatives across multiple projects, driving standardization, quality, and innovation. Oversee modeling, coordination, and project delivery efforts while developing and enforcing BIM execution plans aligned with industry standards. Direct clash detection and resolution using Revit and Navisworks to mitigate design conflicts, ensuring accurate field installation drawings and constructable designs. Facilitate high-level coordination among stakeholders, architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize information exchange and project schedules. Apply VDC methodologies to enhance planning, sequencing, and logistics, supporting field layout coordination with Total Station technologies. Provide leadership and mentorship to BIM VDC personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM VDC platforms
- Deep understanding of construction processes, project lifecycles, and electrical construction practices
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with BIM automation tools or scripting
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms
- Functional knowledge of Total Station tools for field layout
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer-Aided Drafting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and applied experience
- Progressive experience in BIM VDC within the construction industry, including leadership of project-level efforts
- Experience leading BIM VDC initiatives on electrical construction projects
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- This position may require occasional travel to project sites throughout the United States and to company headquarters in Denver, CO, as needed for project support, collaboration, training, and business operations.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing or mentoring BIM VDC team members preferred
- BIM VDC-related certifications are a plus
- Experience with BIM automation tools or scripting (e.g., Dynamo preferred)
