Job Summary
Develop and manage complex 3D structural models across multiple active projects while producing complete, construction-ready drawing packages with minimal redlines. Lead inter-disciplinary coordination using Navisworks to identify and resolve clashes, serving as the primary BIM point of contact for engineers, architects, and consultants. Perform thorough quality control reviews, enforce company BIM standards, and mentor BIM Designer Level 1 staff on project workflows and software environments. Identify workflow inefficiencies to propose actionable solutions and assist in piloting new processes. Requires 3-5 years of structural BIM experience; Level II role with flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits including 401K matching and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree, technical diploma, or bachelor's degree in BIM/CAD Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field
- 3-5 years of BIM production experience in a structural, MEP, or AEC consulting environment
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- demonstrated ability to manage complex, federated models
- Working proficiency in Navisworks for coordination and clash detection
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 for model management and document control
- Solid understanding of structural systems, load paths, and construction sequencing as they relate to documentation
- Ability to independently interpret and execute on structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and engineer markups
- Clear, confident communicator across disciplines and experience levels
- High degree of professional accountability; owns mistakes and drives resolution
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving project needs and technologies
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Dynamo for parametric modeling or workflow automation
- Familiarity with structural analysis software outputs (RISA, RAM, ETABS) and how they inform documentation
- Experience authoring or contributing to BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
- Exposure to AISC, ACI, or NDS detailing standards
- Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit or equivalent certification
