Job Summary
The BIM Technician assists project teams with developing, maintaining, and organizing BIM and construction documentation for Mechanical and/or Electrical systems. Responsibilities include creating 3D BIM models and 2D drawings using Revit and related Autodesk tools, generating installation views/sheets/annotations, updating models for as-built conditions, producing Install and Spool drawings, coordinating with engineers/detailers, and supporting on-time delivery by managing large model data, point-cloud files, and project documentation. Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, MEP Fabrication, ACC, Bluebeam, and MS Office is required, along with the ability to work under deadlines and operate on-site at the Ankeny office as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of directly related experience with Mechanical, Plumbing, or Electrical systems design, layout, construction, and project model set-up
- Understanding of Construction Drawings and Documentation
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks, MEP Fabrication)
- Practical experience with Bluebeam and MS Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Valid driver’s license
