Job Summary
BIM Modeler – Electrical responsible for producing accurate project documents in line with best practices and standards, resolving complex drafting issues, ensuring drafting components meet budget and deadlines, mentoring drafting team members, developing professional relationships with project managers, and adhering to Health & Safety regulations. Requires proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design knowledge for water and wastewater projects, including power distribution, grounding, and lighting, plus familiarity with international codes and standards (USA/UK/Middle East). The role involves document management, maintaining drawing registers, and supporting the submission process to clients; prior consultancy experience in utilities and strong English communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- DEE / B.E in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University
- 3 to 5 years’ Drafting experience in design of water and wastewater treatment plants
- Knowledge of Auto CAD, Revit and other industry software viz.
- Drafting knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting
- Preparation of master drawing list for engineering document and maintain the status to meet the submission date to client for their approval
- Previous experience in electrical design of water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus
- Familiar with international codes, standards and practices related to USA, UK, Middle East
- Experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the utilities sector
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills
