Job Summary
Develop comprehensive 3D models for underground dry utilities, roadways, and surface grading while maintaining up-to-date representations of design revisions, construction phasing, and as-built conditions. Prepare engineering drawings and BIM deliverables in .NWC, .NWD, and IFC formats, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and client expectations. Manage BIM interfaces with civil works, equipment, and operations teams, and contribute to quality assurance, document control, and version management processes. Work under the direction of the Project BIM Lead to support the preparation of drawing packages and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Work under the direction of Project BIM Lead.
- Develop comprehensive 3D models for underground dry, as well as roadways, grading of surfaces.
- Develop BIM deliverables complaint to project requirements, international standards, and client expectations.
- Manage BIM interfaces with other project areas (civil works, equipment, operations, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date models reflecting design revisions, construction phasing, and final turnover, including accurate representation of as-built conditions.
- Support Preparation of Drawing package
- Knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles
- Prepare engineering drawings, 2D and 3D designs of utilities and prepare BIM deliverables in .NWC and .NWD and IFC file formats.
- Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes.
- Contribute to BIM deliverables such as TIDP, MIDP, version and Document control.
- 5+ years of experience in BIM processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (utilities, alignments, corridors, assemblies, surfaces, and data shortcuts), AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Desktop Connector, and Bluebeam Revu.
- English mandatory
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with modelling of underground infrastructure design (dry utilities, duct banks, water, sanitary, storm, drainage) will be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) will be an asset.
- Working knowledge of BIM process , development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud ( ACC) will be an asset.
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and version control practices.
