Job Summary
Create and edit 3D structural models using Tekla Structures and Revit, then develop detailed construction and fabrication drawings from these BIM models. Coordinate models with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Field Operations while performing quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist in project setup, clash detection, and model maintenance, and support engineering teams by developing discipline-specific BIM content. Read structural drawings and specifications, communicate design changes across project teams, and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle. This role offers exposure to the complete project lifecycle from engineering through installation on complex commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Tekla, Revit, or another 3D BIM platform in the construction industry
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Tekla Structures experience
- Revit experience
- Precast concrete, structural steel, or commercial building experience
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities
- Understanding of BIM workflows and construction documentation
