Job Summary
BIM Coordinator responsible for BIM standards, setup, and coordination in the onsite Lake Oswego office. Works with project teams and IT to support modeling standards, data exchange, and coordination processes, leveraging Navisworks Manage, Newforma Konekt, and other tools. Provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring, facilitates BIM coordination meetings, runs clash detection and reporting, maintains model libraries, and ensures accurate construction geometry for field crews. Collaborates with clients, design staff, builders, consultants, and subcontractors to optimize BIM utilization for scheduling, take-off, estimating, and related functions. Requires 4-7 years in AEC, a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks), and strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Four to seven (4-7) years' experience in architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry
- Specific experience in industrial and/or advanced manufacturing projects is required
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related industry preferred
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM), AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Navisworks Manage (including Clash Detection, Quantification, and Timeliner tools)
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 with a working understanding of computer network environments
- Proficient in project management software (Prolog, Procore, E-Builder) and Bluebeam
- Experience with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods and digital fabrication
- Experience administering and organizing Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC), and other file-sharing platforms
- Ability to successfully host, facilitate, and document BIM coordination meetings
- Trained in design document reading, specifications, survey theory, and field techniques
- Must hold a valid driver's license and safely operate a vehicle
- Cognitive: must apply independent judgment, critical thinking, and organizational skills to analyze data, transcribe information, interpret documents, and determine best methods
