Job Summary
Coordinate CAD drawings using structural, architectural, and mechanical documents while verifying contract drawings for code compliance and thoroughness. Prepare RFIs, identify potential cost savings, and maintain project files from pre-construction through completion. Visit job sites to gather information for drawings and attend meetings. Requires proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT, Revit Navis, and BIM 360, along with knowledge of Massachusetts building codes and plumbing systems. Full-time role with 5+ years of experience; valid driver's license and OSHA 10 certification required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience
- Strong interest and understanding in mechanical systems
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit Navis works, BIM 360)
- Proficiency in Office 365
- Proficiency in Trimble software and equipment
- Familiarity with plumbing and NFPA codes
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Understanding of process from pre-con to final build including BIM coordination, prefab and service
- Understands work structures and processes; effectively documents work
- Understands fabrication process and produces accurate drawings
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently
- Valid drivers license
- OSHA 10
- Broad knowledge of plumbing and/or HVAC piping and general knowledge of other trades involved in the coordination process
- Comprehensive understanding of Massachusetts building codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT and ability to draw in 3D
- Coordination of CAD drawings using structural, architectural and mechanical contact documents
- Verify contract drawings for thoroughness and code compliance. Identify issues or questions.
- Prepare RFIs
- Identify potential additional cost or cost savings on the project
- Maintain project files for the duration of the project
- Visit job sites to gather information needed to complete drawings
- Attend job meeting
