Job Summary
BIM Coordinator at Mi-Tech Services leads BIM/VDC execution on large, complex construction projects with an immediate focus on a major data center initiative. You will serve as technical lead and project coordinator, managing models, driving multi-discipline coordination, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. You’ll help build Mi-Tech’s BIM capabilities by developing standards, mentoring team members, and guiding the transition to fully in-house BIM execution. Key responsibilities include leading BIM/VDC execution, coordinating models and BEPs, conducting QA/QC, leading coordination meetings, communicating technical information to stakeholders, managing internal staff and subconsultants (20–30 technicians), and supporting point clouds, as-built documentation, and process improvements. Requirements include 8–10+ years BIM/VDC experience, proficiency with Revit/Navisworks/Bluebeam/Inventor, 3+ years of leadership, travel willingness, and a relevant degree (preferred). On-site initial assignment with project locations in Milwaukee, WI metro area; expectation of 4+ days/week on-site, with distributed teams across multiple locations, and long-term/home base at Michels/Mi-Tech facilities.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years BIM/VDC experience
- Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor, and related BIM software
- Experience working with or directly for contractors on construction projects
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders
- 3+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams or mentoring junior staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel and support project-based assignments
