BIM Coordinator

Job Summary
Provide BIM support to project teams by managing model setup, file exports, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with leadership to develop project-specific BIM implementation plans and maintain content to ensure smooth model operations. Enforce firm-wide standards through periodic QA/QC audits of project files and introduce new employees to standards via training sessions. Share knowledge during team meetings and identify automation opportunities through scripting and customization. Requires intermediate to expert Revit knowledge, a two-year technical degree, and availability Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Madison office.
Required Qualifications
- Availability during Flad's business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Must be able to work in the Madison office Tuesday through Thursday each week
- Intermediate Revit knowledge, having recently used for at least two years in academic and/or professional settings
- Makes edits to and works within established templates, standards, etc.
- Beginning to understand how firm projects are initially set up and how families are created
- Expert Revit knowledge preferred
- Experience using Revit for production of architectural documentation, including creation and setup of sheets to be plotted
- In-depth working knowledge of current Revit versions with emphasis on project setup
- Two-year technical degree in architecture or related field
Desired Qualifications
- Previous internship and/or relevant work experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction industry
- Experience with model coordination and knowledge of general constructability
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Navisworks
