Job Summary
BIM/CAD Designer is sought to join Freese and Nichols in our Austin, TX office. Responsibilities include designing cutting-edge linear utilities, pump stations, and treatment plants, interpreting project requirements, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating with design teams and stakeholders, performing BIM/CAD quality control, utilizing CAD standards, and mentoring team members. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and a hybrid work schedule with up to 40% remote work, supporting the company’s engineering and infrastructure project delivery across Central Texas.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience with a broad base in engineering design and technical support of engineering utilizing BIM/CAD software
- Experience with Revit or Civil 3D including familiarity with alignments, pressure pipe networks, gravity pipe networks, surfaces, and data management
- Proven ability to learn, adapt, and problem solve to produce accurate and quality deliverables
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel
- High School diploma or equivalent
