Job Summary
Review WIP, apply write-offs and write-downs, and manage trust funds as directed. Generate and finalize invoices, handle e-billing, and deliver client invoices according to specific instructions. Maintain a clear understanding of time entry and billing protocols while identifying and raising potential billing issues. Provide clear, professional client communications and manage ad hoc projects for the accounting team. This permanent, full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The Billing Specialist ensures timely and accurate processing of the Firm's monthly client bills, demonstrating strong analytical ability and attention to detail within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- at least 3 years of practical billing experience in a legal setting
- Graduation from a post-secondary program or degree, in accounting or relevant field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Proficiency in various accounting and billing software
- Excellent client service skills (external and internal) and ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships
- Thrives by working in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly identify problems and provide solutions
