Job Summary
Convert signed contracts into subscriptions, process amendments, and issue accurate invoices across all entities while validating data against CRM and revenue policies. Run daily collections cadence including dunning, follow-ups, and payment plan negotiations, then record and match payments to keep receivables precise. Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries, onboard n8n as a supplier in vendor systems, and manage operational tax tasks like VAT ID collection and exemption validation. Support Deal Desk with billing mechanics questions and build automations to scale these processes with an AI-first approach.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 5 years of experience with invoicing, AR, and collections in a B2B SaaS or subscription business
- Appetite to own more
- Strong curiosity
- Automation-first mindset
- Understanding of recurring subscription billing, both classic tiered and usage-based
- Comfort with contract amendments, proration and (early) renewals
- Comfort owning direct customer communication on invoices, payments, and subscriptions
- Comfort with collections calls

- Ability to deliver clean, audit-ready output
- Ability to ensure every invoice ties out
- Ability to handle edge cases
- Ability to proactively catch issues before they reach customers or month-end
- Spreadsheet power user skills
- Ability to reconcile data across CRM, billing, and finance systems

- Default to AI and automation in own work
- Concrete examples of AI/automation usage from this quarter
- Existing right to work in Germany (if not sponsored)
- English as primary company language
Desired Qualifications
- In depth experience with billing/subscription and quote-to-cash systems (e.g. Stripe, Chargebee, Hyperline, Solvimon)
- Experience with CRMs (e.g. Salesforce)
- Experience with accounting and finance/ERP systems (such as Netsuite, SAP, Rillet, or Campfire)
- Experience registering and maintaining a company as a supplier in platforms like Coupa or SAP Ariba
- Experience handling operational VAT work such as validating VAT IDs, requesting and verifying tax exemptions, validating sales tax and procuring tax certificates from financial authorities
- Experience in a finance function of a fast-paced tech startup where processes were being built, not just maintained
- Curiosity about n8n
- Successfully built a workflow with n8n
