Job Summary
Review eligible claims for submission to the State and determine what qualifies as billable or non-billable for medical and dental claims. Process the full life of LOA claims, including pending claims, and follow up on approvals or rejections. Validate and confirm patient payments during billing meetings addressing loss of revenue from missing payments. Answer questions from patients and clerical staff regarding LOA or uninsured issues while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and ZHC's employee handbook. Maintain strict confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned. This role supports the Revenue Cycle Manager in managing loss of revenue through strategic planning with the Billing Claims Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment
- Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Learn and apply the trauma informed care principles with the scope of the position
- High School Diploma or GED
