Job Summary
Billing Specialist responsible for processing client billing and supporting revenue cycle operations to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for behavioral health services. Focused on Medicaid billing with potential Medicare and private payer claims; includes claim submission, denial investigations, payment posting, AR configuration in Carelogic, and interaction with payment/clearinghouse portals. Requires knowledge of Ohio behavioral health payment environment and Carelogic EHR/Billing functionality, with emphasis on accuracy, follow-up, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- three years of experience working in Ohio behavioral health Medicaid billing
- three years of experience using an electronic health record system to process claims (Carelogic preferred)
