Job Summary
Billing Specialist at Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is responsible for processing client billing and supporting revenue cycle operations to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for behavioral health and related services, with a specialized focus on Medicaid billing. Responsibilities include claim EDI creations for various payers, self-pay claim processing, payment posting, claim denial investigations and remediation, Carelogic Billing/AR configuration and setup, interaction with payment/clearinghouse portals, communicating task status, and providing customer service to ISBH staff and external customers. The role requires familiarity with Ohio behavioral health payment environments, Carelogic billing functionality, and Ohio MCO billing requirements, and involvement in internal/external trainings and special projects.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required, a bachelor's degree, is preferred.
- Three years of experience working in Ohio behavioral health Medicaid billing.
- Three years of experience using an electronic health record system to process claims, experience with Carelogic preferred.
