Billing Specialist II

Job Summary
Audit customer invoices against rate cards to guarantee accuracy and compliance, obtaining authorization for ad-hoc billing and ensuring correct payment application. Proactively identify billing issues by collaborating with third-party providers, requesting adjustments, and delivering customized solutions while leveraging data analysis to identify trends and recommend policy enhancements. Create and distribute Statements of Account to freight payment companies, conduct weekly discussions to resolve open exceptions, and communicate discrepancies with stations. Provide feedback to station and regional managers to enhance billing processes and lead instructions on implemented procedures to improve operational policies and financial health.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, or work experience equivalent in a related field
- 5+ years Experience in financial reporting, analysis, or accounting
- freight forwarding experience
