Billing Specialist

Verify insurance coverage and client information to process insurance and program billing claims. Review patient data in the Electronic Health Record, verify insurance approvals with third-party payers, and transmit Medicaid claims electronically while tracking rejections. Follow up on delinquent receivables to ensure collection, resolve billing errors with program staff and providers, and prepare monthly billing claims using accounting reports. Maintain invoicing processes for the provider network and assist with grant, contract vouchers, and general accounting functions. Requires high school diploma, one year of medical billing experience, and proficiency in professional accounting environments.
