Job Summary
Billing Specialist responsible for reviewing, preparing, and submitting insurance claims accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with payer rules and documentation; managing accounts receivable follow-up on unpaid/denied claims; researching and resolving billing discrepancies; coordinating with internal departments to improve workflow and reduce denials; maintaining clear documentation in billing systems and providing responsive billing support to patients and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, customer service, or healthcare administration preferred but not required.
- Completion of relevant coursework, training programs, or certifications in medical billing, coding, or healthcare revenue cycle is a plus.
