Job Summary
Billing Coordinator responsible for maintaining and managing client and matter master billing files for assigned practice offices, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of master billing files. Interfaces with attorneys, legal secretaries, and accounting staff to ensure adherence to billing policies, manages workflow of client rate changes and new matter set-ups, opens new client matters and validates conflicts data, inputs billing and exception rates in Elite, coordinates with practice offices for required data and approvals, maintains client/matter accounts and archives, supports Master File processes, provides guidance to Master File Maintenance Specialists, ensures proper matter set-ups, confirms client arrangements for special rate needs, and delivers day-to-day customer support via phone and email while promoting teamwork and professional conduct. The firm has shifted to remote work for the majority of its lawyers and staff during COVID-19, with the Billing Coordinator likely starting remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in general accounting practices
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in billing processes and practices
- Prior experience with Elite Billing system
