Job Summary
Billing Specialist responsible for preparing prebills and/or drafts at the start of each billing cycle for assigned attorneys, logging and distributing prebills for editing, ensuring adherence to client billing guidelines and attorney preferences, printing finals for signature and posting to finance, sending invoices (paper, eBill, or email) to clients, tracking unapplied credits and trust balances, updating eBilling vendor sites, and supporting the billing and accounting departments. Requires proficiency with Excel, experience with time & billing software, and at least 5 years of billing experience (preferably with a law firm).
Required Qualifications
- 5 years billing, preferably with a law firm
- Aderant legal billing software experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Excel and ability to create and maintain spreadsheets
