Job Summary
Billing Specialist in Finance Operations responsible for cleaning and maintaining customer data across contracts and internal systems, ensuring accurate billing details, setting up invoices and issuing credit notes, sending billing notifications, contacting customers for missing data, tracking actions with internal teams, and reviewing outstanding balances to generate statements; requires a strong numerical background, accounting knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work in a hybrid office environment (with three days in the office).
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar invoicing role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Proficient English; French and/or German desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of accounting practices and reconciliations
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with ownership of responsibilities
- Experience using ERP systems and billing processes
- Good communication skills (phone and email) for customer data coordination
- Ability to identify and correct root causes to prevent future issues
