Job Summary
Reconcile outstanding balances from insurances and patients while discussing open balances to collect payment. Maintain collection agency accounts and place outgoing calls to insurance companies and patients to resolve outstanding claims. Post charges, payments, and adjustments in Allscripts Practice Management software. Exhibit knowledge of medical insurance and proper use of computer software while performing general office duties. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in a remote setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of ICD-10 & CPT Codes
- CPC and/or AHIMA certification required
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of customer service experience
- Ophthalmology, Optometry, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and/or Optical billing experience
- Experience in Revenue Cycle Management
