Billing Specialist (3869)

Billing Specialist responsible for processing insurance claims and patient billing: verify demographics and coverage, research refunds and recoupments, adjust accounts for changes in responsibility, ensure accuracy on paper claims, assign charges to correct payors, process claims and vouchers, obtain pre-certifications and referrals, verify motor vehicle/accident information with carriers, manage claim errors queues, assist insurers and patients with billing inquiries and payment arrangements, maintain confidentiality, support training for billing staff, and maintain/updat e payor plans; requires strong computer and communication skills and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding, with focus on patient FFS and government program billing in a healthcare setting.
