Job Summary
Prepare reconsiderations to payers, process rejections, and review payments to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement. Review payer payments, prepare billing error corrections, refunds, and itemized bills for patients and attorneys, and interact with third-party payers to verify reimbursement benefits and claim status. Complete special department and physician projects as assigned. This role supports CPMP patient accounts and requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong written communication skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of two years medical billing related experience in a physician's office or graduation from a medical billing program
- Must have excellent expressive and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
- This position is only available to New York State Residents
Desired Qualifications
- Computer literate with knowledge of medical insurance policies, reimbursement and medical terminology
- Experience with insurance websites
