The Billing Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the operations of Billing Coordinators to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing practices. The role requires leading a team, managing workflows, conducting 1:1 meetings, and developing staff according to billing policies. It includes reviewing billing projections, maintaining communication with attorneys, and supporting management with process improvements. Candidates must have extensive experience in billing within a law firm, strong analytical skills, and the ability to motivate a team.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 + years of billing experience in a large law firm
  • 3 + years of billing management experience supervising a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel
  • Strong overall technical aptitude and experience with legal billing related systems
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to manage a team with varying skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • High level of proficiency with 3E or Elite Enterprise
  • Familiarity with E-billing Hub
