Job Summary
Billing Follow Up Representative Lead handles daily claims submissions to payer sources, communicates with internal/external parties to resolve charging issues, analyzes trends, and may train others. Responsibilities include prioritizing rejections, assisting with complex issues, monitoring productivity/quality, and staying current with payer updates. Requires leadership ability to coach/train a team and strong knowledge of medical billing, CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS, and insurance reimbursement practices. Fully remote role with standard healthcare-operations hours; requires a High School Diploma or GED and extensive medical billing experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of related experience in medical/billing reimbursement environment
- Proficient in follow-up functions for billing and claims
- Strong analytic, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and insurance/reimbursement practices
- Ability to use Zoom and Microsoft Office for meetings
